Thoughts and Reflections on The Dip

This will be a short post as most of the themes encountered within this short, repetitive, and slightly redundant book were discussed in class. Joking sarcasm aside, I enjoyed The Dip and found it useful and enlightening. It has always been my belief that if you find yourself in a situation that provides no satisfaction and no possibility for improvement, a change must occur no matter the cost. Life is too short to just endure. This was a point made by the author. Unfortunately, a well-thought out "plan B" does not always exist and often deters one from making the change necessary for a better life. A famous quote comes to mind: "Necessity is the father of invention." It is at this point that one must cut the rope. The change should facilitate the improvement.
